Realme is following up on its first laptop with an enhanced edition. This one comes with an H-series processor, giving Intel’s 11th generation Core architecture more thermal legroom. Naturally, the cooling has been improved to match.

Like we mentioned, the major upgrade on the Realme Book Enhanced Edition is the higher TDP CPU (35W, up from 28W), an Intel Core i5-11320H 11th generation processor (Willow Cove, 10 nm SuperFin). Its single-core turbo frequency is 4.5 GHz, up from 4.2 GHz. It is still a quad-core CPU (8 threads) with 8 MB of L3 cache, though.

The extra heat is handled by the improved dual-fan cooling system, which has 32.7% higher heat dissipation compared to previous generations. Part of the TDP is reserved for the faster GPU – Intel Xe graphics with 96 execution units running at 1.35 GHz (vs. 80 EUs at 1.30 GHz on the regular laptop).

According to the official numbers from Realme, the new i5-11320H processor has 21.8% higher multi-core performance compared to the i5-1135G7 inside the regular Realme Book, single-thread performance is up by 9.6%.

The laptop is configured with 16 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and an 512 GB NVMe drive. It comes with Windows 11 and Microsoft Office (Home and Student Edition) pre-installed.

Like the original version, this laptop has a 14” display with 2,160 x 1,440 px resolution and a 3:2 aspect ratio. It promises 100% sRGB coverage and a peak brightness of 400 nits, not bad for a laptop.

The battery has 54 WHr capacity, which is enough for 12 hours of 1080p video playback. Charging is done over USB-C and with the supplied 65W adapter you can get from 0% to 50% in half an hour. The laptop also supports 30W Dart Flash Chargers like the ones you get with Realme smartphones.

One of the USB-C ports supports Thunderbolt 4, so you can connect it to external displays and docks. The second Type C port is USB 3.2 Gen 2, plus you have a USB-A 3.1 Gen 1 on the other side along with a 3.5 mm headphone jack (no HDMI port or card reader, though). The laptop boasts stereo speakers by Harman with support for DTS surround sound.

The metal body of the laptop measures 14.9 mm thick and weighs 1.47 kg (0.59”, 3.24 lbs). It is made out of CNC-machined aluminum alloy and for the Enhanced Edition Realme picked a green and a gray color.

The QWERTY keyboard uses scissor switches with 1.3 mm key travel. Below that is an ample touch pad, above the keyboard is a fingerprint reader.

The Realme Book Enhanced Edition is available for pre-order in China starting this evening and will go on sale on January 7. There is only one version – i5 processor, 16/512 GB – which is priced at 4,700 CNY ($740/€655/₹55,000). There’s no word on whether this version of the laptop will be made available globally.
