Demon Veil, the first season of Year 7 of Rainbow Six Siege, is now live, and will add new Defender Azami, the Team Deathmatch game mode, and, later in the season, a new map set in Ireland. The map, which will be the first new map the game has seen in three years, is called Emerald Plains. We don’t yet have a date for when this will arrive, but it should be later in the season.New Defender Azami comes equipped with Kiba Barriers, barbed wire and the impact grenade as gadgets, the 9X19VSN and ACS12 as a primary weapon, and the D-50 as a secondary weapon.Team Deathmatch arrives as a permanent addition to the game, and according to Ubisoft, it’s “created to explore the perfect environment for players to warm up before competitive matches, as well as offer a more casual gameplay experience.”Ubisoft recently said that Rainbow Six Siege’s Year 7 will be “the most ambitious year that we have ever had” — Season 2 will bring with it a Belgian Operator and a Team Deathmatch map set in Greece, while Season 3 will bring an Operator from Singapore and a new competitive map. We’ll be sure to update you when we hear what else Ubisoft has planned for Year 7.
