Mobile battle royale title PUBG Mobile has announced an esports partnership with Qiddiya Gaming, the esports and gaming district of Saudi Arabian entertainment and tourism megaproject Qiddiya.

According to a release, the two parties will collaborate to create ‘enhanced gaming and esports experiences’ for PUBG Movile players and esports event attendees.

The partnership will begin at the PUBG Mobile Global Championship taking place in London from December 6th to 8th. According to a release, Qiddiya will play ‘an integral role’ throughout the event but exact details on plans were not disclosed.

Alongside supporting the esports circuit for the mobile battle royale title, Qiddiya will work with PUBG Mobile developers to create a range of in-game content within its World of Wonder game mode. The content aims to ‘enrich the battle royale experience’ in addition to elevating the game. More information on the in-game content is expected to arrive in the coming months.

PUBG Mobile is no stranger to working with Saudi Arabian esports projects. In March 2024, the game’s developer Level Infinite partnered with the Esports World Cup Foundation to feature the game at the Esports World Cup as well as join forces on other collaborations for the next three years.

Since its official announcement in 2023, Qiddiya continues to attract new partnerships from various stakeholders within the esports and gaming industries. In July 2024, it was reported the megaproject was looking to attract esports organisations to the city in addition to tournament operators, game publishers and brands.

PUBG Mobile joins Mobile Legends: Bang Bang as another title Qiddiya is supporting. Announced in June, the partnership aims to grow the mobile MOBA title’s esports circuit on a global scale.
