PS5’s Phantom Blade Zero Will Not Feature Any Microtransactions

Phantom Blade Zero developer S-Game has confirmed that the title won’t feature microtransactions, with the team looking to ensure the game is “approachable” while adding some Souls-like elements.Speaking in a Q&A Discord, the studio responded to concerns about monetisation given that the series has previously seen a lot of success on mobile platforms. “You’ll be paying for a complete experience. No gacha or microtransaction[s],” S-Game replied. The idea is that you don’t need lightning reflex or supersonic finger movements to find fun in the game.In terms of combat, Phantom Blade Zero is more of a hack-and-slash affair and take place in a semi-open world. As previously reported, the game will last around 30-40 hours and will also include multiplayer dungeons.Phantom Blade Zero is currently in development for PS5 and is without a release date.
