Update: Fans online spotted an unlisted video from PlayStation on their YouTube channel, titled simply “PS5 Pro.” While not fully confirmed, it’s all but certain that PlayStation will be showing off the next iteration in the PlayStation console line tomorrow.
Original Story: With PS5 Pro rumors continuing to grow, PlayStation has officially announced that a PlayStation Technical Presentation would be hosted tomorrow.
The event is will be 9 minutes long and will focus mainly on “PS5 and innovations in gaming technology.” The presentation will be broadcast on PlayStation’s YouTube channel on September 10, beginning at 11 a.m. ET/8 a.m. PT.
What do we know about the PS5 Pro?
The announcement comes just a few days after fans believed Sony had not so subtly revealed a sneak peek at what the PS5 Pro looked like. In a post on social media celebrating the 30th anniversary of PlayStation, fans were quick to spot a mysterious console silhouette that they had never seen before and looked to be a PS5 with three stripes on its side.
Should PlayStation reveal the PS5 Pro, it’ll also be nearly eight years to the day that the company announced the PS4 Pro, which was also revealed during a technical presentation hosted by Cerny. Currently, any information about the PS5 Pro is purely speculation, including a price tag, which many are hoping to be in the range of $600 when the console is officially announced.
