Heads up! PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers will get a bonus first-party PS5 exclusive today, and there’s a reward for playing it. As announced during Tuesday’s PlayStation State of Play, The Last of Us Part 1 (2022) will be available to subscribers at no additional cost.
A new PlayStation Stars campaign has gone live, which grants players a heroic Clicker digital collectible just for claiming and playing TLOU1. The campaign is only available to Extra and Premium subscribers (you must be a PS Stars member too, or course), so Essential users can’t partake in it even if they purchase a copy of the game from the PS Store. Don’t ask us why. It’s just Sony doing Sony things.
That said, we do believe that Sony will be offering some TLOU freebies to all players later today. A little while ago, PlayStation Asia took to its social media channels to announce free game avatars for all players via a PS Store download code. So far, we’ve only seen PS Asia share a code, but we’re assuming Europe and North America regions will also receive the avatars once their day starts.
Claim PS5 avatars featuring key characters from The Last of Us Part I. The avatars will be available until October 26th. Redeem this code: 29LF-GDBC-CP7D pic.twitter.com/H2qhjJGqO5— PlayStation Asia (@PlayStationAsia) September 26, 2024
At the time of this writing, the avatars have not been announced for Australia/New Zealand region.
