PlayStation Plus Subscription Prices Will Go Up Significantly Starting Next Week

We’ve had the new tiered PlayStation Plus system for a little more than a year now, as it was first launched between May and June 2022 in different markets across the world.In that time, it’s become clear that the middle level tier, PS Plus Extra can be an excellent value, particularly for newcomers to the PlayStation ecosystem, for the breadth of games available, and that some new games (like most recently Sea Of Stars) will be available on launch with the middle tier.The same can’t really be said though for the top tier, as we’ve had more than one month where classic PS1, PS2, PS3 or PSP titles just haven’t been added to the collection, despite some solid additions that have come through.Now, Sony thinks we ought to be paying more for this service, as subscription prices will be significantly increased beginning September 6, 2023.If you’re someone who pays annually for PS Plus, then the new pricing won’t go into effect if your renewal date is before November 6, 2023.
