February is right around the corner and with it comes a new batch of games to play on PlayStation Plus. Today, Sony revealed in a PlayStation Blog that Foamstars, Rollerdome, and Steelrising will be available to PlayStation Plus members from February 6 to March 4. The above PS Plus games aren’t the only things Sony has cooking for players in February. The blog post also announced PS Plus subscribers will receive a Fall Guys Icons Pack allowing them to fashion their little bean dudes in cosmetics, patterns, nameplates, and costumes of Aloy from the Horizon series and Ratchet & Clank from… well, Ratchet & Clank. Image Credit: SonyIn addition to the PlayStation-centric Fall Guys cosmetic pack, PS Plus Premium and Deluxe subscribers can look forward to a Valentine’s Day gift in the form of a Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Game Trial. The Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 trial will give you a two-hour time limit to pirouette and web swing to your crime-fighting heart’s content. Plus, any story progress and trophies you unlock during that allotted time will carry over to the full game should you decide to purchase it later. Foamstars is a team-based hero shooter from Square Enix where the abject goal is to leave your adversaries in your suds. Basically, think about if Overwatch 2’s larger-than-life heroes were dropped in the world of Splatoon and their weapons were soap-based. In our final preview, Simon Cardy wrote, “First impressions may be to dismiss Foamstars as a Splatoon clone, but after playing it I found its hero-shooter DNA became much more apparent. Yes, painting the floor with your team’s foam colour aids movement, enabling you to surf along the perpetually changing floor with ease, but points are not awarded for how much territory you occupy.” Foamstars will be avaliable for PS Plus subscribers on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Rollerdome, by OlliOlli World developer Roll7, is a third-person shooting/roller skating game set in a dystopian 2030. You play as a skater named Kara Hassan who’s tasked with entering a battle arena against waves of armed skaters for the chance to be crowned as the undisputed champion of the Rollerdrome. In our review, we said, “Its rollerskating and third-person shooting may sound odd together, but just like its stellar soundtrack, Rollerdrome finds harmony in marrying the two to create something that truly shreds.” Rollerdome will be avaliable for PS Plus subscribers on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Steelrising, developed by French game studio Spiders, is a soulslike set in an alternate history of the French Revolution where lethal automatons run amok. In it, you take control of a “mechanical masterpiece” named Aegis as she fights to save France from an army of robotic menaces. In our review, we said “Steelrising is a competent action-RPG with an unforgettable setting, but it’s dragged down by its humdrum soulslike formula that doesn’t do anything to make its combat or exploration stand out. Despite having some memorable weapons and enemies, combat often feels imprecise or sloppy, and boss fights are largely forgettable.” Steelrising will be avaliable for PS Plus subscribers on PlayStation 5.
