We love some retro carnage here at Droid Gamers, so Pixel Shooter Infinity has definitely piqued our old-fashioned curiosity. It’s a one finger shooter with a gorgeous art-style and you can give it a go right now.
You control everything with a single digit, dragging it around to move your spaceship. You’ll shoot automatically, but those shots take up energy. To recharge you need to stop moving, putting yourself in danger as you do.
It’s a smart system, and it’s coupled with an awesome aesthetic of chunky pixels and smooth backgrounds that makes you feel like you’re using a computer in a sci-fi film from the 70’s. Here’s a trailer.
After every five levels you’re going to come up against a boss, and they’ll blast you with tricksy shots that you’ll need to have your wits about you to avoid.
It all looks pretty darn neat, but there are a couple of provisos we’re going to chuck in. It’s not a premium game, and it’s supported by ads. We know that’s the sort of thing that might put you off.
But, if you still want to give Pixel Shooter Infinity a go, you can click here to download it from the Play Store. We’re pretty sure that it’s worth checking out.
