Physical Version Of Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora Requires Internet Connection To Install

Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora is out on December 7, but early physical copies have made their way into the hands of some fans — not that they were able to play it, sadly, as the game requires an Internet connection to install. Reddit user Interesting-Squash81 noted that the were greeted with the logo and December 7 release date when trying to play their disc copy, even after changing the date and time on their console and firing up the game offline. As such, it appears that Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora needs to connect online before booting up, possibly to verify the release date has passed or to install a day one patch. If that wasn’t enough, the box art has a message that reads, “Internet required to install the game.” It’s interesting to note that this wasn’t featured on early versions of the box art that were advertised for pre-orders. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is due out on December 7 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.[Source – Reddit]
