With Payday 3’s launch date inching closer, the developers have released a gameplay trailer for the 2 new heisters added to the gang, Pearl and Joy
Payday 3 is the upcoming third main installment in the Payday series of video games. The game was developed by Starbreeze Studios and published by Deep Silver. It is a co-op survival shooter game where you have to do heists as a team and it follows a storyline that began in Payday. The game is set to launch officially on September 21, 2023, and the early access release date for the game is September 18, 2023. Until recently, 2 of the heisters joining the game were a secret, but they were revealed on August 31, 2023, to be Pearl and Joy. Now, Payday 3 has released a gameplay trailer for Pearl and Joy and here’s everything we know about it.
Payday 3 Releases Exclusive Gameplay Trailer for 2 new Heisters, Pearl and Joy

In a tweet posted to Payday 3’s official Twitter account, the developers released a gameplay trailer for Pearl and Joy showing exclusive footage from the game. The tweet was posted to their account on September 7, 2023. Here’s the tweet that was posted to Payday 3’s Twitter account:

It is a short gameplay trailer showing how the game looks and how Pearl and Joy will look in action. The caption of the tweet said that everyone knows the name of the 2 heisters, but they will know them for real. The 2 heisters Pearl and Joy are old characters that players already saw in Payday 2, but they were given a major revamp. As we know, Payday 3 follows up 8 years later after the story of the heisters in Payday 2 ended. Hence, the character designs of both of the heisters have been changed to make them look more mature and older. They have been updated to better match the modern theme of the game in general.
Not only do the 2 heisters, Pearl and Joy look amazing with their new character designs, but the graphics and setting of the game in general look very advanced. Compared to Payday and Payday 2, the third installment is set in a timeline of the 20th century, the 2020s to be exact. For this reason, the developers have given the game a modern makeover which is quite visible in the exclusive gameplay trailer. The game looks a lot more polished and better suited to the surroundings we would see in the 2020s. The timeline of the game being in the 20th century also means new and advanced surveillance, technology and possibly a rise in cryptocurrency being added to the game.

Needless to say, Payday 3 is going to be an amazing game with all of the new added features and major updates added to it. The timeline, the setting, the environment and of course, the heisters will make the game possibly the best Payday game to be released thus far. The storyline of the game will be completely new because after the heisters retire from their criminal lives in Payday 2, we will get to see why they are returning to their old life 8 years later.
