Payday 3 was beset by server issues at launch, with Starbreeze Entertainment CEO Tobias Sjögren promising that the devs will “work hard” to “regain” community trust after the game’s problems. Now, Starbreeze says it’s fixed the “initial” matchmaking problems, and has outlined what we can expect from the updates to come.”The scheduled maintenance carried out last week has fixed the initial matchmaking issues that occurred during Payday 3’s first few days after launch. Matchmaking has been stable and has had good performance after the completed maintenance,” Starbreeze says.”Starbreeze will now intensify the commercial activities around Payday 3, after partially pausing these during the previous week.” The first update will arrive early this month with over 200 quality-of-life improvements. Another update will follow either later in October or in November with more quality-of-life improvements, as well as new content and “new functionality.” Another update will come after that in November with yet more quality-of-life improvements, new content, and new functionality. Then, this winter, the Syntax Error DLC will be on sale. That’s everything for this year, but the devs shared more hints at what’s to come in a Twitter post. Next spring will see the arrival of Boys in Blue, the game’s second DLC, before The Land of the Free DLC arrives in summer 2024, and the Fear and Greed DLC arrives in fall 2024.On top of that, Payday 3 will get more content in the form of seasonal events, playable characters, cosmetics, new features, and more.”First and foremost, I would like to thank our players for the patience they have shown us.
