North American esports organisation Oxygen Esports has launched Quick Fix Media (QFM), an esports content and media incubator.

QFM will focus on teaming up with community-focused esports news and content outlets to help them grow. As a result, Oxygen Esports, via QFM, has partnered with ShiftRLE and Octane, two media platforms focused on Rocket League.

Oxygen Esports is based in New England, USA, and is the owner of the Boston Breach a team competing in the Call of Duty League. In addition, Oxygen Esports competes in Apex Legends, Rocket League, Rainbow Six: Siege and VALORANT.

The establishment of Quick Fix Media opens up a new business segment for the organisation, as well as new ways to support the grassroots scene and community.

The first move for the newly-created incubator will be to support ShiftRLE, a well-known news and data site for Rocket League. According to a release, ShiftRLE will remain autonomous, but will be a ‘key component of QFM’s expanding presence within the esports news media space’. Oxygen Esports did not share plans to support other outlets as of now. Financial details of its partnership with ShiftRLE were also not shared.

Interestingly, the two brands announced a new tournament as a part of the collaboration, called the Shift Summer League. The tournament will have a $40,000 (£31,430) prize pool and will take place in July and August, between the RLCS London Major and the Rocket League World Championship.
