Metal Tales: Overkill is a roguelike guitar-shooter that sends you on a heavy metal quest to save your brothers from a curse created by an ancient evil, and become the ultimate Rock God while you’re at it.Developed and published by Zerouno Games, Metal Tales: Overkill is an “action-adventure game where Metal and Adrenaline collide to deliver the ultimate rogue-like 3D guitar shooter.” After the evil God Kuk possesses all of the guitar gods, their metalhead followers turn into zombies and begin destroying every original creation of metal bands and their fans. You’ll need to pick up your guitar — or bring a buddy in local co-op —as one of the four characters inspired by the likes of Metallica, Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath to rid your fellow metalhead brothers and sisters of the dreadful curse.You’ll fight through six procedurally generated levels that hold 15 different enemies and eight guitar bosses within three unique environments — Metal Den, Metal Festival, and Hell (obviously). Of course, you can’t become a Rock God without amping yourself up, so expect to upgrade your abilities between missions, as well as collect over 50 items including new guitars, amps, pedals, strings, books, and summons. Everything you do will be accompanied by an original soundtrack, along with songs from international metal bands.Metal Tales: Overkill launches on April 22nd for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
