Hood: Outlaws & Legends now has a new free PvE mode called State Heist, in which you go up against “deadlier opposition from the State” instead of an enemy team. State Heist also adds in new mechanics, and goes live alongside the Survive the State event. Get a look at State Heist in the new trailer below:Instead of an enemy team, State Heist pits you against “a far more dangerous and responsive State with limitations on respawning that creates a completely new dynamic.” You’ll also see new mechanics, which revolve around “stealth and cooperation.” Focus Home Interactive and Sumo Digital have also released a new Survive the State event, to celebrate State Heist. If you manage to get the chest in State Heist without dying, you’ll be rewarded with the Shadow Lords costume. You’ll get the costume for whichever character you were playing as, so it’s possible to get the Shadow Lords costume for all of the characters. Survive the State runs until August 2nd, when you’ll be rewarded with however many costumes you won. The devs also reiterated that more free content is on the way for Hood: Outlaws & Legends, as the game’s first season, Samhain, is “just around the corner.” Season 1: Samhain will add a new “game-changing” outlaw, as well as cosmetics, events, and a “full rework of the winch system.” Will you be playing State Heist?
