The Nerf Legends achievements and the Xbox first-person shooter as a whole could soon be harder to track down as publisher GameMill Entertainment has announced it is delisting Nerf Legends from Steam (and we assume from the Xbox store) on December 31, 2024. Nerf Legends to be delisted on December 31, 2024After confirming a delisting for G.I. Joe: Operation Blackout, GameMill is back at it again over on Steam. In another extremely brief announcement, GameMill says that Nerf Legends and “any related DLCs and bundles will be removed from sale on December 31, 2024.” Much like with G.I. Joe: Operation Blackout, GameMill hasn’t confirmed whether or not this delisting applies to other platforms such as Xbox and PlayStation, so it’s unclear if the first-person shooter will be removed from other digital storefronts. The good news here is that Nerf Legends was released physically, so if you are desperate to own what is considered one of the worst games of 2021, you should still be able to find a copy. When it launched in 2021, Nerf Legends was panned by players and critics for its woeful gunplay, bad puzzles, awful sound design, and a multiplayer mode that didn’t function. Updates released by developer Fun Labs did fix a few of the more egregious bugs, but the game was beyond saving. On Steam, Nerf Legends has a ‘Mostly Negative’ rating, whereas on TrueAchievements, it currently sits with a TA rating of 1.67/5. While GameMill hasn’t announced anything about Nerf Legends’ servers, it might be worth playing it safe and working your way through the game’s achievement list now — 13 Nerf Legends achievements have been flagged as online-only and will be discontinued should the servers go dark.Elsewhere in the sad world of game delistings, Sega is delisting 12 Xbox games in early December.
