European esports organisation OG Esports has announced a partnership with the play-to-earn strategy game Valhalla.
The collaboration will see Valhalla’s logo featured on the organisation’s player jersey sleeves. According to a release, more joint projects will also be revealed in the coming months.
The latest announcement sees Valhalla become the sixth partner of the esports organisation, joining the likes of energy drink brand Red Bull, mobile app socios.com, and gaming chair brand Secretlab.
Recently the company has also developed several partnerships in the betting and web3 spaces. Earlier this year, it renewed a deal with algorithmic trading firm and cryptocurrency liquidity provider Wintermute and Russian esports betting brand PARI. Back in May 2024, OG launched a documentary series called ‘Origins’ in collaboration with betting company 1xBet, showcasing the personal and professional lives of the team’s athletes after the initial success of the ‘Road to TI’ series.
Founded in 2015, OG Esports is an European-based team, mostly known for its competitive excellence in Dota 2, winning The International in 2018 and 2019. Aside from Dota 2, it currently fields lineups in Counter-Strike 2 Rocket League and previously held a roster in VALORANT before disbanding at the end of 2022.
Sujoy Roy, Head of Partnerships at OG Esports, commented on the deal: “At OG Esports, we strive for excellence and innovation, and we see those values reflected in Valhalla. This collaboration represents an exciting convergence of esports and blockchain gaming technologies, aligning perfectly with our commitment to staying at the forefront of the gaming industry.
“By integrating Valhalla’s cutting-edge platform with our team’s competitive spirit, we hope to enhance the gaming experience for our fans and also pave the way for new opportunities in the digital gaming space. We look forward to a successful partnership with Valhalla that pushes the boundaries of what’s possible in esports.”
