Aug 25, 2023

After taking at look at some of the top offlaners at The International 12, it’s time to do the same, but this time, we’ll check the other teams.

In our part 1 of the best offlaners at The International 12, we’ve mentioned that this is one of the most complicated positions in the game. Offlaners have to do a lot of things to be effective, especially in the mid-game. Therefore, having a good offlaner can make a massive difference.

Despite the fact that some offlaners are not appreciated as much, there is no arguing that certain players are special. We’ve already covered some of the biggest names in Dota 2, but there are a few other names you must be aware of, so let’s dive in.

Jonáš “SabeRLight-” Volek – Shopify Rebellion

The best team in North America consists of players with many years of experience on the professional scene. However, there is one exception, and his name is SabeRLigh-. The 22-year-old player for Czechia started playing professionally in 2018 but quickly proved himself as one of the best in the world.

What’s interesting about SabeRLight- is that he started his career in Hippomaniacs, where he spent 2 years. Aside from that, he played for Quncy Crew, Chaos Esports Club, Ninjas in Pyjamas, and TSM. He became a part of SR in late 2022 and has been one of the best offlaners in the North American region.

Like most offlaners, SabeRLight- can play pretty much any popular hero. However, most people will know him for one of these:

Anucha “Jabz” Jirawong – Talon Esports

Talon Esports is a really interesting team that has some of the best Dota 2 players in SEA in its roster. In addition to the top-tier carry and midder, the squad added none other than Jabz to its roster. This is one of the SEA stars who has been a part of the professional Dota 2 since 2013 when he was just 14 years old. Nowadays, Jabz is 24 and continues to be one of the leading names in this game.

What’s very interesting about Jabz is that, besides an offlaner, he is also the team’s captain. This is not something you see every day, but it seems like Talon Esports decided to use his experience.

In terms of the teams he was a part of, Jabz only switched a couple of teams in his career, He spent several years with Minesi and Fnatic before joining Talon Esports in 2022.

If we take a look at the heroes he is good with, you will find a lot of interesting options:

Rafael “Sacred” Yonatan – Beastcoast

Beastcoast has an interesting roster for TI12 because Sacred will be the squad’s offlaner. Although some of you may not be familiar with him, many people in the region regard him as one of the top offlaners at The International 12 from South America.

The 22-year-old star has played for every big club in the region. He started his career in Incubus Gaming and played for Infamous several times. He was also a part of Thunder Awaken, but after the big roster shuffle, he moved to beastcoast.

Sacred is an offlaner that’s known for playing aggressively. He does not like slow heroes, which is one of the reasons why you can often see him playing different famous offlaners. Some of the heroes he’s most known for include:

Magomed “Collapse” Khalilov – Team Spirit

Everyone who’s a part of Team Spirit is on another level because this team won The International 10. The squad’s performance in 2023 has not been the best, but it has proven many times that it can shine, which explains why it won the Riyadh Masters 2023.

Speaking of winning this event, one of the reasons why it was so successful was Collapse, the team’s offlaner.

Even though he started playing in 2018, Collapse has already won several big events, and his cis career earnings exceed $5,000,000. The 21-year-old offlaner began playing for Cascade before moving to Yellow Submarine. Team Spirit acquired the latter, and the rest is history because he became one of the offlanersi n Eastern Europe to win The International.

Collapse is a very interesting offlaner capable of playing pretty much anything. He is really good with initiating heroes, such as Tide, but you can also often find him on different farming offlaners. The fact that he is unpredictable gives him a huge advantage because the enemy team does not know what to expect.

Ilyas “kasane” Gainullin – TSM

When talking about teams from North America, we need to address TSM, the most successful NA DPC team in the last few months. The squad has some pretty big names that can explode at any minute, and their offliner is among them. Even though he’s from the CIS region, kasane plays for the NA club and is their offlaner.

The 20-year-old is playing for VP. Prodigy, V-Gaming, and Rune Eater before becoming a part of TSM in late 2022. Although his results have not been that impressive, the player has potential, which means we expect to learn a lot more about him in the future.

Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko – BetBoom Team

There are a couple of very interesting teams from Eastern Europe and BetBoom is definitely on the list. A lot of people think that this will be one of the big TI12 contenders, and for a good reason – the player offers a lot of things.

Pure is just 19 years old, but this doesn’t stop him from being one of the biggest names in CIS. Before he became an offlaner, Pure was Entity’s carry. He was also a part of Virtus.Pro, but the player decided to switch to the offlane when he became a part of BetBoomTeam.

In terms of the heroes he’s known for, Pure can play with a lot of options. However, most people one of the top offlaners at The International 12 know him for his farming heroes, such as:
