It looks like we might be getting our first, official glimpse of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti gaming GPUs imminently. A new leak suggests that the new GPUs are going to be officially announced on March 13, although it may take a few weeks before the graphics cards are actually released to the public.
These new Nvidia graphics cards will look to dominate the mid to lower end of the GPU market, but they’re going to face some stiff competition. With AMD offering serious competition with the AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT as the best graphics card for average gamers, it’s going to be harder for Nvidia this time around to stay ahead.
News of this unconfirmed launch date was leaked in a report by Videocardz, although Nvidia hasn’t yet made an official announcement. According to Videocardz, Nvidia is expected to unveil three new GPUs on March 13.
As earlier rumors suggested, two Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti variants will reportedly be launched, with 8GB and 16GB VRAM options using GDDR7 memory chips. Meanwhile, only an 8GB edition of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 is reportedly planned, using GDDR6 VRAM.
No further specs data has been leaked so far, but an earlier RTX 5060 specs rumor leaked this week suggests that all three GPUs will come with only a modest boost in raw performance compared to their RTX 40-series predecessors.
The success of these cards will depend on the performance difference compared to the competition, especially relative to their price. An April release date is still expected for these cards, so we may only have a few weeks left to go before we can find that out for ourselves.
