North American team NRG has completed their roster for the 2024 season with three major pickups
NRG has announced their Valorant roster for the upcoming season with three latest additions alongside Victor “Victor” Wong and Austin “crashies” Roberts. Former member of the OpTic core, Jimmy “Marved” Nguyen, is one of the three members who is returning to play alongside past teammates. The other two are 2023 Champions Max “Demon1” Mazanov and Ethan “Ethan” Arnold.

Both Demon1 and Ethan are former Evil Geniuses members who won the biggest Valorant event in 2023. After such an excellent achievement, they had to face the unfortunate news of significant pay cuts in the upcoming season if they stayed with the team. Demon1 was the best Valorant player in 2023 who contributed to EG’s Cinderella story. Ethan, on the other hand, established himself as one of the best Initiators in the world through incredible stats.
Today we say thank you and goodbye to two World Champions. Thank you @ethanarnold and @Demon1___ for the incredible time you’ve spent with us.
From underdogs to defying the world’s expectations, this year has been nothing short of incredible. It would not have been possible… pic.twitter.com/DXFMcsktI2

Marved last played for Sentinels in the Regular Season of VCT Americas, working on the IGLing role at one point. While he couldn’t secure any good results for that roster, his glory days were with OpTic’s core, and being reunited with past teammates might bring some of those times back.
