Hello Games is celebrating the fifth anniversary of No Man’s Sky, with founder Sean Murray also taking the opportunity to confirm that the game’s next update will be called Frontiers.”Today, No Man’s Sky celebrates a major landmark in its ongoing journey,” Murray says. “Five years ago, the first travellers were setting foot on their first planet, gazing on their first star system, and embarking on a journey which many are still on to this day. On that day back in 2016, our small team could barely have imagined what lay ahead.” Murray goes on to cover the main 16 free updates the game has had since then. Just this year, updates for No Man’s Sky have added creature companions, overhauled the visuals, and given players a “whole new way to explore together.””It has been a long journey for our tiny development team, but there is still a long roadmap ahead of us. The next update is never too far away. In fact, today, we are announcing that the next update will be Frontiers,” Murray says, adding that we’ll have more info soon. We’ll be sure to keep you posted — in the meantime, what’s been your favourite update? What are you hoping to see in Frontiers? Let us know in the comments!
