Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur revealed the NFL basically admitted they messed up on the roughing the passer call against Za’Darius Smith.
The Packers have a lot of things to worry about this week after a miserable opening week loss to the Saints.
They can at least take heart in knowing the NFL screwed up a bad roughing the passer call.
Head coach Matt LaFleur said he talked to the league about the penalty against Za’Darius Smith, who hit Jameis Winston a split second after a throw and drew a flag.

While he wouldn’t say outright what the NFL told him, it was clear LaFleur heard something he liked.
“Yeah, it makes you feel really good when, you know, ‘My bad.’,” LaFleur said per Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette.
It was easily one of the worst calls of the week in the NFL. The least they could do is acknowledge that to the Packers. Everyone who saw the video already knows it was completely ludicrous.
The biggest issue for Green Bay is that erasing that one back call wouldn’t have changed the outcome of that game given their performance. Aaron Rodgers was horrendous while the defense got smoked by the Saints. It wasn’t close to the standard fans would have been hoping for coming into the season.
The spotlight will be on LaFleur and company with a Monday night matchup against the Lions coming up.
