The Chinese Room has published a new developer diary for the upcoming Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, which explores the various narrative themes of the long-delayed blood-sucking sequel. The post is pretty detailed and is penned by Sarah Longthorne, the game’s senior narrative designer and writer. The dev diary reveals that players will take on the role of an Elder vampire who wakes up trapped in Seattle, with their full powers being artificially suppressed. Bloodlines 2 also dabbles in Neo-noir, and blurs the lines of morality while exploring paranoia, revenge, and alienation. We focus on character, who knows what and who has the power in any given situation, and how the player can use that to their advantage. No one in Bloodlines 2 knows everything about everything, as much as they might pretend. So, how the player navigates these alliances and goes about learning new information makes the player feel like they are investigating a complex web of lies. We try to ensure that the player feels in control of the information that they know, who they share those secrets with, and why.Related Content – Sony PS5 Complete Guide – Everything Explained About PlayStation 5 For New Owners In 2023Furthermore, players will encounter a number of side characters in Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 including Lou, Ryong and Folly, who all have their own agenda that can be affected by the player character as you become involved in their affairs.
