A recently released PS5 game has received a free trial for all players that allows them to play to their heart’s content. Nacon has announced that its racing game Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown can be played for free starting today until Tuesday, December 31 without any restrictions on content. However, you will need a PS Plus membership to play online.
Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown game trial is currently for PS5 only
The game trial is already available on the PS Store, and is currently exclusive to PS5. Nacon has said that it does plan free trials for other platforms, but didn’t provide any further details.

Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown released in September 2024 to a lukewarm reception. The game currently holds a score of 55/100 on Metacritic for its PS5 version. On OpenCritic, only 7% of critics recommend the racer.
Much of the criticisms are focused on Solar Crown’s subpar presentation and rough edges, especially compared to other racing games. The game carries a ‘PS5 Pro enhanced’ label on the PS Store, but we’re not sure how much of a difference that makes.
Players can form their own opinion and give the game a shot on the PS5 and PS5 Pro. Nacon hasn’t said whether trial progress will carry over to the full game or not, and this information isn’t available on the trial version’s PS Store page either.
