Last week a rumor claimed Apple is readying a new color option for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus, which would come around one year after the company released new green versions for the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini. That launch took place on March 8, last year.
This time around, the new hue (yellow in this case) might arrive a day earlier, as multiple sources have talked about a product briefing taking place with Apple’s PR team on the matter tomorrow, on March 7. Now Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman is confirming that a new iPhone 14 color is, in his words, “imminent”.
Nearly a year to the day after the announcement of the green iPhone 13, a new iPhone 14 color is indeed imminent.— Mark Gurman (@markgurman) March 6, 2023
Gurman has been reporting on Apple-related stuff for years, and is generally regarded to be among the most trustworthy sources in the scene, so while this obviously isn’t official confirmation from Apple – at least not yet – it’s probably the closest we’ll get up until the moment when the company decides to issue a press release for the new color and make it available for purchase.
According to other sources, the press release announcing the yellow variation of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus will drop either tomorrow or the day after. So stick around, as it seems like we’re getting a shiny new iPhone hue to look at very soon.
