CD Projekt Red is working on a new single-player standalone Gwent game, which is apparently codenamed Project Golden Nekker.Remember ignoring other quests, activities, and the threat of world-ending catastrophes in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to focus entirely on playing Gwent? More Gwent is on the way! Although according to IGN, this new Gwent game will stand apart from the Gwent spin-off and The Witcher Tales: Thronebreaker, with Gwent comms lead Paweł Burza reported to have said, “It’s not another Witcher Tales [game] but something different… We’re aiming to provide a captivating single-player for players who prefer it over competitive multiplayer Gwent.”IGN shared concept art of the game, such as the image above, which shows a Golden Nekker hiding in a study. That’s all we have to go on for the time being, but IGN also suggested that a possible release date of October 2022 — we’ll be sure to keep an ear out and update you when we learn more.
