New Battlefield Reportedly Set Between 2027 — 2030, 45 Weapons & 10 Multiplayer Maps Planned For Launch

New details on the next chapter in the Battlefield franchise have surfaced in a repot on Insider-Gaming, which claimed that the shooter will take place between 2027 — 2030.According to the report, EA is looking to have 45 different weapons for launch in the new Battlefield game, which is double the amount featured in Battlefield 2042 on release day. Furthermore, it is also claimed that the is hoping to ship with 10 multiplayer maps, which puts it in the same ballpark as Battlefield 1, 3 and 4. Elsewhere, it is revealed that the new Battlefield will see a major overhaul in regards to destruction, with Tom Henderson stating that over half a dozen sources have said that the game will incorporate ‘caliber-based destruction,’ similar to Rainbow Six Siege. Changes are also believed to be coming to basic movement, such as the ability pick up and move downed players. Earlier this week, EA confirmed that it would begin large-scale testing for the new Battlefield game next year, although we still don’t know when the game itself will launch.
