Steel Paws is a new action RPG on Android, exclusive to Netflix subscribers. It comes from none other than Yu Suzuki, the SEGA veteran and game creator of Virtua Fighter and Shenmue. The game lets you punch your way up a giant tower with an army of battle-ready robot cats.
What’s the Story?
You play as a purple-haired warrior in a mechanical suit fighting robotic enemies. You get Buddy Robots by your side, who are loyal, cat-like machines and act as your fiercest weapons. You can pull off team attacks that send them flying into enemies like furry missiles.
Steel Paws kicks off with an ancient tower erupting from the ground, sending shockwaves through the world. Drawn in by a floating stone covered in cryptic markings, the hero steps inside.
Doing so has her robotic feline crew immediately captured. A creepy, unseen voice tells her that if she wants her friends back, she’ll have to fight her way to the top. So, up you go, floor by floor, battling an army of mechanical foes while uncovering the mysteries hidden within the tower.

Steel Paws Is a Sci-Fi Fantasy
The combo system is designed to keep things fluid and engaging, rewarding you for well-timed strikes and strategic use of special moves. Every time your robotic cat companions attack, they let out a mighty meow!
The game gives you a bit of breathing room with checkpoints midway through each stage. So, if you get wrecked, you won’t have to start from scratch. You can also tweak the difficulty as per your liking.
Steel Paws also throws in some roguelike elements. So, every time you replay a stage, certain aspects like enemy placement, resources, and map layouts change. The environments also switch things up, with different levels featuring unique hazards like shifting sands or slippery ice.
At its core, Steel Paws focuses on fast-paced melee combat. If you have a Netflix subscription, you can check it out on the Google Play Store.
