To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Sword Art Online’s first anime appearance, Namco Bandai has announced a brand new mobile game set in the Sword Art Online universe. It’s called Sword Art Online: Variant Showdown.
We don’t know much about what the game is actually going to entail right now. We do know that it’s going to be free to play and it’s set to launch this summer.
We also know that there’s a trailer for Sword Art Online: Variant Showdown. And that we’re going to embed it at the end of this paragraph. We have the gift of foresight.
A website has been launched for the game, as well as a Facebook page. Gotta have one of those. There’s also a pre-registration campaign running with goodies waiting when enough players have signed up.
You can click here to check out the Sword Art Online: Variant Showdown website, where you can also find all the info you need to get pre-registered. We’ll let you know when we hear a more concrete release date. And anything else pertinent.
