Mytona – Latest Updates for Seekers Notes, Cooking Diary, and Chef & Friends – Gamezebo

Jan 1, 2025

Mytona have been supporting its main titles for years, primarily Seekers Notes, Cooking Diary, and Chef & Friends. We even talked a bit about the latter’s longevity over the last six years right here

And these games get some great updates across the year, so we thought we’d take a look over what each of these three titles are offering this year in terms of both festive and new year cheer. As well as why they’re three of the best games to play all year round.

Seekers Notes [On iOS and Android]

Seekers Notes is a highly polished hidden object game, and one with a range of different objects to find. Our favourite twist is that the items you need to find can be in the form of words, silhouettes and anagrams. This means that there’s always enough variety to keep you coming back.

The new Holiday Thief event adds a few more interesting cosmetic additions which were very welcome over Christmas too, including a very jolly Winter Express location which gave us pleasant Polar Express style vibes.

There was a new character and creatures too, but we loved the Advent Calendar most of all – which has clearly had a lot of effort put into making you come back each day to see what you’d get next. This was arguably the most impressive update of the three games we played of the ones mentioned in this piece. There are some Christmas screen savers for the game you can use too, which you can find here

Cooking Diary [On iOS and Android]

Moving from hidden objects to time management. Cooking Diary is a rock solid example of the genre, asking you to become the leading chef of a culinary empire. Unlike many time management titles – which sometimes come off as a little as a little dry – Cooking Diary adds some very welcome personality with the fact you’re helping your Grandpa with his family restaurant.

Everything is well presented alongside this, and the controls are incredibly tight. It’s not the most exciting genre but again Cooking Diary is one of the best examples of it.

The newest update adds some more colour with Path to Glory, where you head out on an adventure with an adorable Arctic fox. There are also new restaurants to explore and some very welcome story additions.

Chef & Friends: Cooking Game [On iOS and Android]

A spin off title from Cooking Diary, we actually prefer this one. Self described as a “cooking madness game” it sees you transforming chefs and renovating restaurants. There’s a lot to do and there’s very little time to get bored.

We also love how often the game is updated, with this happening twice in December. The first one came before Christmas and offered a new restaurant called Burger Wurger. There were a lot of different things to fix up which made it a very well judged addition.

The newest update playable on the 25th adds another restaurant (an ice cream parlour set in an ice cave) and one we enjoyed a lot thanks to its unique visual style compared to the other locations in the game.

There’s also the continuation of the game’s generally quite amusing storyline, with this being a huge positive from the title generally. This may be a spin off from Cooking Diary, but we prefer it to its ‘older brother’ title so to speak.
