It seems everybody is charging after the Marvel Rivals achievements, as our latest Xbox gameplay chart shows NetEase Games’ free-to-play team-based PvP shooter making its first appearance in fourth place. It’s rare for anything to make it into the top three (or five, really) when long-time high-rankers like Call of Duty, Fortnite, and Minecraft usually reign supreme, and the most recent game to do so was Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl. Tom loved the game in his Stalker 2 review, yet despite his high praise, there has since been another he’s loved still more. Tom’s Indiana Jones and the Great Circle review calls the game an “eighth wonder for Xbox” and it’s clear other players are feeling the excitement too, since Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is already in the top 40 at 11th despite the fact that it launches today. Players who pre-ordered did of course get early access, so it’s likely the game will rocket up the chart now it’s out on Game Pass for Ultimate and PC members.Everything has been shoved down to make room for Indy aside from Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, which has re-joined the chart at 16th after joining Game Pass last week. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 has taken a tumble from 12th to 17th, although since its launch issues have been fixed, we might yet see it soar higher again. Genshin Impact has also had a substantial drop from 15th to 23rd. It only recently made the move to Xbox, but players might be turning to new releases like Marvel Rivals instead.Fallout 76 has also re-joined the top 40 at 30th, most likely thanks to its newest updates, while Spyro Reignited Trilogy has dropped from 27th to 36th. Spyro Reignited Trilogy was a big get for Game Pass, but with so many juggernauts joining the service, it’s likely we’ll see changes like this for a while to come. Our last new appearance this week is EA Sports WRC at 38th, which joined Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass via EA Play last week.Top 40 Xbox Gameplay Chart for the week ending December 8, 2024Chart compiled using gameplay data from over 2.4 million active Xbox accounts.
