Mortal Kombat 1 To Receive New Story Content Similar To MK11 Plus A ‘Big Surprise,’ Says Ed Boon

NetherRealm Studios‘ Ed Boon has revealed during an interview with CCXP that Mortal Kombat 1 will receive new story-based DLC similar to what the developer produced for MK11’s Aftermath expansion.Not only that, but Boon teased that NetherRealm has a ‘big surprise’ coming after, although understandably didn’t go into any further details. Whether this means more MK1 content or something new entirely isn’t known at this point.Just like we did with Mortal Kombat 11 we’re going to release a second part with more story, and we have a big surprise after that.
