Game developer MOONTON Games, the creator of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), has partnered with German esports data and analytics company Shikenso Analytics for the M6 World Championship.

The two partners will work on analysing and understanding sponsorship data for the M6 World Championship, MLBB’s biggest event in the competitive calendar.

M6 is currently taking place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and is one of the largest annual esports events, with last year’s edition reaching just over 5m peak viewers, according to Esports Charts. So far M6 has attracted over 2.1m peak viewers to date, making it one of the most-watched events of the year even though the playoffs are yet to start.

Shikenso and MOONTON will work together to analyse media valuation, exposure and other insights across digital and social platforms to gain information about the value the event brings to the partners and sponsors.

Shikenso’s tools will help understand this by measuring and analysing the time each brand appears on stream and on social media. This leads to the creation of a data set that can precisely tell how much value has the event generated for a certain brand.

Benedikt Becker, Marketing Director at Shikenso Analytics, commented: “MOONTON Games continues to set the gold standard in esports, combining innovation with a deep understanding of its audience.

“Partnering with them for the M6 World Championship is an exciting opportunity for us to support their vision of delivering value to their partners and audience. We look forward to supporting their continued growth and success in the esports  ecosystem.”

Shikenso has partnerships with numerous esports organisations, companies and event organisers, such as PGL, G2 Esports, GamerLegion and Aldi.
