A major patch for Xbox Game Pass’ Moonglow Bay has arrived, bringing with it an auto-saving feature, a feature for when you’re stuck, and performance improvements for less screen tearing — although this will be an ongoing issue. If you’ve been holding off on those Moonglow Bay achievements until the game’s issues were addressed, good news: a major update has gone live. The Moonglow Bay team first apologised for how long Xbox players have been waiting for a fix, saying, “we want to sincerely apologise for the time it’s taken to get something out to all of you. We completely acknowledge communication hasn’t been good enough throughout the process, and there are a number of reasons for that which we’ll get into momentarily, but we just want you to know that we’ve been reading your comments, responding where we can, and to assure you we remain committed to fixing as many of these issues as we can.”The Xbox version of Moonglow Bay has faced performance issues and screen tearing. While the latest patch brings performance improvements to lessen screen tearing, the devs emphasise that this is an ongoing issue which will continue to be fixed with future updates. The main new features added are rebindable controls, an auto-save feature which saves when you sleep, and a “Help! I’m Stuck” option which will let you move to a safe area if you’ve been stuck in the environment. The Restaurateur achievement has also been sorted so that it only unlocks “when all requirements are met.” You can check out the full patch notes for fixes for chapters, which will have spoilers.Moonglow Bay is available now with Xbox Game Pass. We’ll be sure to update you when we hear of future major patches.
