Monster Hunter Wilds gets second Xbox open beta in February

Capcom has announced that a second Monster Hunter Wilds open beta will arrive in February, taking place over two weekends. If you’re looking forward to collecting the Monster Hunter Wilds achievements when the open-world Xbox game launches on Xbox Series X|S on February 28, the open beta will be a great opportunity to check it out ahead of time.Second Monster Hunter Wilds Xbox Series X|S open beta announcedMonster Hunter Wilds’ second open beta takes place on two weekends in February: February 6 to 9 and February 13 to 14All players who participate will earn the Open Beta Test Bonus Pendant and OBT 2 Bonus Item Pack rewardsPlatforms: Xbox Series X|S”In response to requests from players who were unable to participate the first time or simply wish to play again,” a second open beta will be held in February. Alongside including the same content as the first test, Capcom says that this second open beta will also include new activities, such as the return of the Gypceros monster, which has been seen in previous Monster Hunter games.This next test will be available on Xbox Series X|S across two weekends. The first weekend will take place between February 6 at 6pm PT and February 9 at 6.59pm PT (February 7 at 3am GMT to February 10 at 2.59am GMT). As for the second weekend, you’ll be able to access the beta between February 13 at 6pm PT and February 16 at 6.59pm PT (February 14 at 3am GMT to February 17 at 2.59am GMT).Players diving into the second Monster Hunter Wilds open beta will have full access to the character creator for your hunter and Palico — players who participated in the first test will be able to use their same character and saved data. A Story Trial will also be playable, giving you a chance to check out some of the opening cutscenes and “play through the Chatacabra hunt with basic tutorials.”As for the big ol’ beasties to hunt, the Doshaguma Hunt sees you hunting down the pack’s alpha while you “Explore the vast locale on your Seikret and switch between two different weapon types on the fly as you experience the latest in hunting action.” The aforementioned Gypceros Hunt will also be available, offering a nostalgic twist for returning players.All players who participate in the open beta will receive the Open Beta Test Bonus Pendant and OBT 2 Bonus Item Pack filled with a host of useful items that will help kick off your adventure when the game launches on February 28.It’s going to be tough to squeeze in all of the exciting games launching on Xbox in February, which includes Avowed leaving our list of upcoming Game Pass games, Monster Hunter Wilds, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii — wherever will we find the time to tackle those beasts!As for Monster Hunter Wilds, will you be checking out the open beta to prepare for the game’s launch?
