Gameloft has just rolled out a massive update for Minion Rush: Running Game. They’re bringing major changes under the hood and on the surface too. Now, it has a new engine, new features and new ways to play.
What Are the Changes that the Massive Update Brings to Minion Rush?
Firstly, the game has now officially moved over to the Unity engine. So, you can expect a full visual upgrade. The once cartoony but slightly dated runner now looks cleaner and sharper. Next is a new user interface that’s easier to navigate.
The most highlighted new thing that the Massive Update brings to Minion Rush is the long-awaited endless runner mode. You can now launch it straight from the main menu. Also, individual abilities for Minions are out.
Another most demanded feature has been added. Player profiles are now customizable with nicknames, avatars, and frames. Then there’s a new Costume Collection feature that lets you unlock special bonuses.
The Hall of Jam is another fresh addition. As you collect bananas during runs, you’ll fill up a progress bar that unlocks a lot of stuff. You can collect story puzzle pieces, Minion stickers, G-Coins, gadgets, and costumes.

New power-ups are also here
You’ll see new power-ups like the Disco-boot, Bouncer, Rocket Blade, and Minion Armor. Gameloft has introduced new Gadgets as well. They let you tweak your strategy before heading into a run, adding temporary boosts to distance and performance.
Locations from earlier versions are being visually updated, too. Meanwhile, daily and weekly tournaments are part of the game now. You can compete against other players and earn rewards in the process.
