While we’re yet to learn if Mojang’s reworked update structure will continue to offer us new Minecraft achievements to collect, the developer has revealed some of the upcoming content we can look forward to. We’ll soon see Minecraft add a Pale Garden biome and the Bundles and Bravery update, which will add some features fans have waited a long time for.Minecraft Bedrock Edition finally getting a hardcore mode and bundlesEarlier this month, Mojang announced that it is replacing Minecraft’s annual summer updates with multiple free content updates throughout the year and retiring the controversial mob vote. The developer gave us a glimpse at the first updates to arrive under this initiative during Minecraft Live 2024 this past weekend, and they’re spooktacular. There’s no date yet, but the new Pale Garden biome would make for a fantastic Halloween drop. This creepy biome is a peaceful, yet utterly gloomy, area during the daytime, but once the sun leaves the sky, things get a little more eerie due to its resident mob: the Creaking. These freaky creatures freeze in place when you look at them and remain immune to your attacks, moving only when you’re looking away to attack you from behind — your survival lingers on your ability to find its creaking heart block buried in a nearby tree. As for the Bundles and Bravery update, it also doesn’t have a release date yet, but we’ll finally see the previously announced bundles feature arrive, offering you a way to better organize your inventory and expand your storage somewhat. Hardcore mode will also make its way to Bedrock Edition, adding a permadeath feature to the game for players wanting a bigger challenge when surviving. We don’t yet know when we’ll have a chance to check out this new content, but in the meantime, why not check out some of the other games listed alongside Minecraft as the best games on Game Pass?
