New Minecraft achievements could well be on the way soon, as Mojang Studios has now confirmed that Minecraft’s Tricky Trials update arrives on June 13 with even more content for what is already one of the best Xbox Game Pass games out there.Minecraft adds Tricky Trials update on June 13There’s a lot included with the Tricky Trials update. First, there’s the Trial chambers themselves, which Mojang says are “a new structure releasing as part of the update that are filled with traps, tricks, and treasures.” They’re randomly generated and are full of challenges and mobs.Mobs will emerge from trial spawners, including the two new hostile mobs: the breeze and the bogged. With the breeze, you need to watch out for its projectile attack and fast movement, and will apparently have better luck taking it down with swords rather than arrows. The bogged is a rag-covered, mossy, poisonous skeleton which will “do everything in its poisonous power to make your trial as challenging as possible.” One thing that might help with these spawning mobs is the new mace weapon, its smash attack, and its three enchantments. The Tricky Trials update also rewards players with a new block called the vault. Anyone with a trial key (earned by taking out all the mobs) can grab loot from the vault, not just one player. One thing to bear in mind is that you play with friends, the challenges “might scale in chaotic-ness” too. There are also ominous trials, which are more challenging still with “tougher” mobs but better rewards, including helpful materials for crafting the mace. These ominous trials are “part of a larger system of opt-in challenges that also include village raids” and are unlocked by drinking from an ominous bottle. On top of all that are the new armor trims, pottery sherds, banners, and more that you can get from the trial chambers, a new block which can auto-craft using redstone, new decorative building blocks, and new paintings.Lastly, the Minecraft team has also just announced a new Minecraft animated series for Netflix. It doesn’t have a release date yet, but features new characters and is “coming soon.” In the meantime, we don’t have long to wait for the Tricky Trials update, which arrives on June 13! Minecraft has been pretty busy all-round, as Microsoft recently announced it is adding Copilot AI into Xbox and PC games, starting with Minecraft.
