Microsoft Flight Simulator’s latest World Update is available now for free, with updates for Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. The update brings “new aerial imagery, high-resolution elevation maps, and 3D cities,” such as Frankfurt and Wuppertal in Germany and Vienna in Austria. Microsoft Flight Simulator is also getting 100 hand-crafted points of interest, as well as new airports, including Lübeck, Stuttgart, and St. Gallen. Along with all this, we’re also getting “new discovery flights, fresh landing challenges, and bush trips that showcase this beautiful region of our planet.” Jorg Neumann, head of Microsoft Flight Simulator, previously explained the new series of releases known as Local Legends, which will usually arrive alongside World Updates, and focus on aircrafts which are “famous in the region of the world update, but often are not as well known to a worldwide audience.” World Update VI’s Local Legend is the Junkers JU-52. World Update VI is available today, September 7th. Looking ahead, we have the arrival of Microsoft Flight Simulator’s first big expansion pack, the Reno Air Races, approaching this fall. Will you be flying back into Microsoft Flight Simulator for World Update VI? Let us know in the comments!
