Pilot, you are cleared for takeoff! Microsoft Flight Simulator is now available to play on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles with Xbox Game Pass. Microsoft Flight Simulator on Xbox Series X|S has seen superb reviews from critics (sadly, we couldn’t get our review build to work correctly) and has been praised for its performance on Xbox consoles, often being called a “true next-gen experience.” If you’re interested, you can read our thoughts on the PC version of the simulator in our Microsoft Flight Simulator review from August last year. If you haven’t already pre-downloaded the simulator, it’ll take up a whopping 97 GB of hard drive space. However, you can reduce this file size significantly as Microsoft Flight Simulator has both online and offline modes with separate files for each. While it isn’t necessary to download the 59.7 GB Offline Mode file, it will “vastly” improve things like the world, air traffic, and weather data. You can read more about that over on the Microsoft Flight Simulator FAQ page. For those hoping for a new achievement stack, sadly, we’ve got some bad news for you. Microsoft Flight Simulator on Series X|S shares an achievement list with the Windows 10 version. You can check out Microsoft Flight Simulator’s achievement list here. Microsoft Flight Simulator for Xbox Series X|S is now available with Xbox Game Pass. Will you be checking out Microsoft Flight Simulator over the next couple of days? Where will you fly to first? Let us know in the comments, and we’ll see you in the skies!
