Halo: The Master Chief Collection is getting a bunch of new content to celebrate 20 years of Halo, including the Orion armour set, new weapon skins, back accessories, and more. “Nearly 20 years ago, we met the Master Chief for the very first time in Halo: Combat Evolved. With Cortana at his back, the Master Chief stepped foot onto the mysterious Installation 04 and ignited a fandom that would span generations,” the celebration post reads. “Since then, Halo: The Master Chief Collection has become our living legacy; celebrating the original Halo titles that have led us to this moment as we prepare to welcome the next generation of the franchise with Halo Infinite.”The free celebratory content arrives from November through to January. Already available to purchase with Season Points is the “Orion” armour set for Halo 2: Anniversary, while The Beast back accessory and Duke Shoulders will be available on November 10th for Halo: 4. Also for Halo: 3 is the “OG Xbox assault rifle skin, which arrives on November 17th. Then on the 24th, the Semi-Powered Infiltration “Mirage” armour arrives for Halo: 3, followed by the “OG Xbox” battle rifle skin and Rucksack back accessory, again for Halo 3, on December 1st. Then it’s Halo: Reach’s turn on December 8th with the Hydration container utility item, followed by the Fronkbox back accessory, duke shoulders, and OG Xbox sniper rifle skin on December 15th for Halo: 3. The Grunt Plush and X-Pack back accessories and the OG Xbox Magnum Skin for Halo: 3 arrive on December 22nd, followed by the OG Xbox Shotgun and SPNKr skin for Halo: 3 on December 29th. Lastly, the “Orion” armour set will arrive for Halo 2: Anniversary on January 5th. “It’s hard to believe that we’ve been together though this great journey together for 20 years now,” the post concludes. “Console generations, along with human generations have risen up right in front of us during that time.
