Match Hit is a match-stuff scrapper that sees you drawing lines to connect symbols. The more symbols you join together, the more damage you do to your opponent. It’s a smart and engaging experience, but there are some strategies you’re going to want to understand to get as deep into the fights as you possibly can.
And that’s where this guide comes in. We’ve played a good chunk of the game and figured out some hints, tips and tricks that are going to make you a puzzling pugilist par-excellence. You’re welcome.
Whether you’re new to punching people in the face or you’ve been making violent matches for a while, there’s going to be something here to help you out. So, here are the best hints, tips and cheats for Match Hit.
Make the biggest match
You’ll want to be making the biggest match you can when you start a fight. That’s going to deliver the most damage, and also unlock more multipliers that are going to come in handy later in the level. Look for the longest strings of matches you can make.
Use the multipliers
The multipliers add extra clout to your attacks, so use them to take down opponents quicker. Even if you’re only making a three-string match with a multiplier, it’s usually going to be powerful enough to take down a foe. It’s important not to waste your multipliers though. What do we mean by that? Well, read on.
Think about what you’re leaving for the next scrap
Your grid isn’t going to change between fights on the same level. If a foe you’re fighting only has a few HP left, it’s a complete waste to chain together a huge match with multipliers. Instead make a short match and save your powerful attack for the next villain, who’s going to have way more HP.
Upgrade as often as possible
You should be upgrading your strength and HP whenever you’ve got the coins to do it. Don’t worry too much about increasing the idle coin collection – it’s not going to change that much. Watch videos at the end of boss levels to get even more coins to make sure you’re tough enough for the next levels.
Check strengths and weaknesses
Bosses have special strengths and weaknesses that are displayed underneath their health bars. Usually they’re weak against one sort of match and strong against another. Make sure you’re making the most of your matches, and using their weaknesses to your advantage. It’ll make the boss fights much easier.
