Marvel’s Midnight Suns has received another delay, with publisher Take-Two expecting Firaxis’ tactical RPG to release sometime before March 2023, to ensure the team can “deliver the best possible experience.”Take-Two’s Q1 fiscal year 2023 earnings call has revealed that Marvel’s Midnight Suns has once again been delayed (thanks, IGN), which the company says is “to ensure the teams at Firaxis Games and 2K deliver the best possible experience for our fans.” We can now expect the superhero-focused tactical RPG to launch “later this fiscal year,” so any time before March 2023.Take-Two announces Marvel’s Midnight Suns delay during earnings callThis marks the second time that Marvel’s Midnight Suns has been delayed since its reveal during Gamescom 2021, and this latest delay means only players on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC will play the game by March 2023, as the Xbox One, PS4, and Switch versions of the game are planned to launch sometime later.During the call, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said that the reason behind this second delay is down to a “search for quality, and a great deal of confidence that we have a wonderful title on our hands, and we want to make sure it’s as good as it can possibly be.” With any luck, this will be the final time the game is delayed, as Zelnick was asked about the potential for another delay, but replied that he isn’t “concerned about that.”Marvel’s Midnight Suns isn’t the only title in Take-Two’s portfolio to be delayed, either, as the earnings call confirmed that other games have had their release dates moved to “within a year” — although we’re yet to find out what those other games are just yet.What do you make of this news?
