It’s West vs East as the wildcards from EMEA face off against their first LPL roster this Worlds season in their most unpredictable MAD Lions vs Weibo Gaming series so far

So far, the MAD Lions have fought tooth and claw for wins on the Rift. And despite their 1-2 standing, pro-teams that have won against their ferocious macroplay have had extremely close games. In any case, it’s going to be tough to tame MAD’s win potential when they find an advantage they can pop off from. Meanwhile, other LPL seeds have been dominating the standings in the Swiss stage, save for WBG which fell to another LEC powerhouse.

If you want to bet on League of Legends or love the game, this MAD Lions vs Weibo Gaming esports preview is for you!

MAD Lions vs Weibo Gaming Preview

MAD Lions

So far, the MAD Lions have shown terrific form on the Rift, giving their adversaries lengthy slugfests that have either resulted in extremely close matches or dominant victories. At this point, they need to focus more on their strengths to hone the aggressive win potential they’re known for.

MAD has had a successful season in the LEC, winning the Spring split and coming within striking distance of their next title numerous times. But while they’ve had some trouble translating their domestic success into international wins, Nisqy and co. remain undoubtedly tenacious on the Rift.

Look forward to good engagements when Hylissang goes Rakan.

Weibo Gaming

Weibo Gaming’s debut at Worlds started with a domination win against NA’s first seed which showcased what LPL talent was capable of. Afterwards, their early lead fell by the wayside after losing to both KT Rolster and the LEC’s best, G2 Esports.

From what we’ve seen, WBG’s patient macroplay lets their enemy make a misplay before they go in for the kill. Unfortunately, TheShy’s new Worlds roster has problems with overconfident plays that sometimes results in them handing over the lead.

Be that as it may, Crisp and Weiwei are probably the most decisive duo on the team, with the former bravely finding picks on most teamfights despite gold deficits.

Weibo Gaming Roster

  • Toplaner: Kang “TheShy” Seung-lok
  • Jungler: Wei “Weiwei” Bo-Han
  • Midlaner: Li “Xiaohu” Yuan-Hao
  • ADC: Wang “Light” Guang-Yu
  • Support: Liu “Crisp” Qing-Song

Player to Watch

Don’t look away from Crisp when he sets up big 2v2’s in the botlane.

Weibo Gaming vs MAD Lions Predictions

MAD’s not that far off from G2’s power level, so we’re inclined to lean towards the Spanish team’s experience with international tournaments. But if Elyoya and co. stays inconsistent with their plays, regionality will favor Weibo Gaming.
