Ludwig Mondays return with a $100K USD prize pool spread across three weeks.

YouTube superstar Ludwig Ahgren threw his hat into the Fortnite Zero Build craze a few weeks back. Dubbed Fortnite Mondays, Ludwig’s content creator-focused tournament drew massive viewership numbers and names such as xQc, Pokimane, Valkyrae, Sykkuno and many more. Ludwig returned a week later with another similarly structured competition and several of the same names.

Today, Ludwig announced a partnership with Epic Games for Ludwig Mondays moving forward. The tournament will occur across three weeks and boasts a $100K USD prize pool. While the invited participants won’t be the same, it’s a massive step for competitive Fortnite Zero Build in the mainstream.

Ludwig’s Huge Announcement

Ludwig spoke recently of his desire to host Fortnite tournaments with significant prize pools. However, Epic Games limited the amount of money that he could invest. That changed today as Ludwig revealed an agreement with Epic Games for future competitions.

In all caps, Ludwig took to Twitter ecstatically:

“LUDWIG MONDAYS SECURED THE BAG

$100,000 PARTNERSHIP WITH EPIC GAMES

NEXT TOURNAMENT WILL BE FOR SMALL CREATORS (LESS THAN 1,000 AVG VIEWERS, NO PROS)

SEE YOU THERE”

Ludwig Mondays have officially opened doors for smaller streams looking to gain exposure. The following iteration centers around content creators who average less than 1K viewers excluding professional players. Ludwig did not lay out the format or prize distribution—we can expect to hear more details throughout the week.

Small Streamers Ready to Compete

The tweet has garnered more than 25K likes since it went live. With that, content creators in and out of Fortnite staked their willingness to try their hand in Ludwig Mondays. The comment section featured many streamers hoping to secure a spot in the tournament. Recent participants vouched for smaller streamers who deserve a shot.

We anxiously await more information regarding the format, scoring system and prize pool distribution. It’s unclear whether Ludwig Mondays will remain under the Zero Build game mode, but we can safely assume that will be the case. Regardless of what happens, there’s no denying that casual interest in Fortnite continues to skyrocket this season.
