Lost Judgment‘s The Kaito Files DLC will release on Monday, March 28th, Sega has revealed. It’s a chunky expansion of the base story and will be free for those who own the Ultimate Edition or Season Pass, as previously announced. The Kaito Files will also be available as a standalone purchase for $29.99.Players will step into the shoes of Masaharu Kaito, who is equipped with his own unique combat and abilities. Kaito takes on a case that forces him to confront his past and tie some loose ends.Lost Judgment DLC detailsLost Judgment’s main protagonist Yagami is out of town, leaving his detective agency in Kaito’s capable hands. Kaito accepts a case that has him searching for his former lover, Mikiko. In the pursuit of his ex, Kaito comes across a teenager named Jun who claims that he’s Kaito and Mikiko’s son. The father and son duo then team up to investigate Mikiko’s disappearance. “Now Kaito stands at the crossroads of past and present while up against a syndicate tied to Kamurocho’s criminal underbelly,” reads an official synopsis. “But why did Kaito and Mikiko split up, and what does this dark faction have to do with her?” The story spans four chapters and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has promised “larger-than-life drama.” Players can expect approximately ten hours of additional content.The Kaito Files DLC comes with new features and content. You’ll have new bosses to beat with Kaito’s Bruiser and Tank fighting moves, and the character will have his own “sensory-based sleuthing” style. Kaito will also have a unique Primal Focus ability that allows him to examine clues and identify suspects. As a bonus, there will be new collectibles spread around Kamurocho.In other news, Rise of the Tomb Raider’s writer has revealed that she isn’t a fan of the game’s plot but it was “dictated” to her from higher ups, and Bungie’s new competitive PvP IP might feature third-person character-focused action.
