The game was originally announced not long after the release of Lords of the Fallen (2014) and given a 2017 launch window, with Defiant Studios leading the project.However, after about a year, CI Games terminated the studio’s contract, citing Defiant’s work was “inadequate.” Production then shifted to Hexworks in 2020, resulting in a shift to Unreal Engine 5 and bring us to the version we have today. Back in August, the development team confirmed that Lords of the Fallen will support a Performance and Quality mode for PS5.Lords of the Fallen is scheduled for release on October 13, 2023 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S, and went gold last month.
