It’s good news for the Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem achievements! Developer Wolcen Studio has updated an online-only Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem Xbox achievement so it can be unlocked offline, ensuring all players can still grab the Xbox action-RPG ‘s full 1,000G following its server closure. Developer updates Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem’s Dawn’s Healing Xbox achievementEarlier this year, Wolcen Studio announced it was shutting down the Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem servers on September 3 (this was then delayed to September 17) so the developer could focus on new projects. At the time, the server closure meant that the online-only Dawn’s Healing achievement, which asks you to revive a downed player in your group, would be discontinued. Thankfully, Wolcen Studio has changed the requirements for Dawn’s Healing which now asks you to revive an NPC companion instead of another player, meaning it can be unlocked offline. “We will begin shutting down Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem’s servers today after the delay communicated earlier this month,” reads an announcement from the Wolcen Team. “Your online characters will be available in the cloud and can be converted for offline play with the patch that is also rolling out today on all platforms using a new button, ‘Import Online Character,’ which can be found in the main menu and on the landing screen.”All achievements are still available for completion, including ‘Dawn’s Healing,’ which will now require you to revive an NPC companion instead of a player. Additionally, any achievements completed online prior to the server shutdown will be retained.”It’s rare to see a developer put in the work and update an achievement to prevent it from becoming discontinued. The majority of developers would simply go ahead with the server closure and not think twice about its impact on a game’s Xbox achievement list, so props must be given to Wolcen Studio here. If you are thinking about going for the Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem completion, just be aware that the action-RPG has a brutal achievement for picking up a whopping 400 million Gold with one character, so bear that in mind before starting. In other server closure news, Nexon has announced it is shutting down KartRider: Drift early next year.
