We’ve not got much longer to wait until we can dive into the Lollipop Chainsaw RePop achievements, as the remastered action game launches on Xbox Series X|S on September 12 in the west and September 25 globally — it’ll come to Xbox One later this year. Ahead of the game’s arrival, developer Dragami Games has confirmed that Lollipop Chainsaw RePop will remain faithful to the original.Lollipop Chainsaw RePop has the same content and achievements as the original gameLollipop Chainsaw RePop launches this month with two different modes: Original and a new RePop mode featuring less violence and comic-style damage effects. While the Original Mode packs in all the familiar goodness from the original Lollipop Chainsaw game, Dragami says it has made some gameplay tweaks, but nothing has been changed when it comes to content. As shared by Dragami Games’ founder and Lollipop Chainsaw RePop producer Yoshimi Yasuda on X, “The original mode reproduces the same gore expression, cut scene production, character design, motion, comic-style character introduction image, costume, achievements, etc as the original version. There were no requests for modification from any platform for this original mode that we submitted for approval.”As for the changes the team has made, Yasuda says that all of the parameters in Original Mode have been adjusted to make it a modern action game. “These include attack power, movement speed, camera movement range, combo input acceptance time, initial combo skills, etc. Other changes include the number of remaining bullets in the blaster, changes to the behavior of nick techniques, [the] addition of an automatic QTE option, changing the playthrough of all stages in ranking mode to a time attack, changes to the shop lineup, price adjustments, addition of a combo attack system, image quality, resolution, FPS, and addition of Yukari Tamura’s voice.”Yasuda says that some bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements were “overlooked in the final check of the original version,” which were corrected in the RePop mode. “We have submitted a Day 1 patch, but this is not a fix request from the platform provider; rather, our goal is to fix bugs and improve the quality of the ranking mode.”While we’re yet to see the Xbox achievements, our colleagues at TrueTrophies have shared the Lollipop Chainsaw RePop trophies, which are identical to the original PS3 game, so we expect it’ll be the same on Xbox — and yes, it will include that one controversial achievement.
