Riot Games has announced the start date for the next LEC Spring Split.
The Worlds 2021 is just around the corner but Riot Games has already started planning for the future. The League of Legends European Championship will be back with the 2022 Spring Split on January 14 with new narratives and action-packed matches. It is a week earlier compared to this year. Thus, it will be giving less time for the European teams to recover from the Worlds 2021 tournament entirely.
While the global pandemic is still in its full flow, the LEC roadshow for the Spring Split has been canceled altogether to invest most of the resources in the online viewing experience for the LEC 2022. However, the LEC team is still monitoring the situation and there might be a roadshow for the Summer Split. With that, fans might not be allowed in the studio again if they can keep safety measures intact.
The #LEC Returns on 14 January 2022!

LEC 2022: A New Era for the Europeans teams
LEC 2022 Spring Split should be full of surprises just like this year, as MAD Lions will be looking to continue their winning streak, while powerhouses like G2 Esports would be looking to show their strong foot after a somewhat disappointing 2021 year. With Schalke 04 leaving the spot for the LEC, Team BDS will be dark horses coming into the show.
Till then, European fans can tune in to Worlds 2021 to support their favorite teams!
